Minimal Detectable Displacement Achievable by GPS-RTK in CZEPOS Network

    Get PDF
In this paper we have made a brief study of RTK precision to estimate possibilities of network RTK using CZEPOS for purposes of geotechnic monitoring of landslides in real time. In this paper we describe a testing methodology, which resulted in estimation of point-position precision and describing minimal detectable positional change. Based on our results it is concluded that displacements could be detected with centimetre accuracy even with short-period observations

Na závěr byly uvedeny experimenty vyhodnocující implementované řešení a příklady použití.This thesis deals with knowledge discovery from social media. This thesis is focused on feature based opinion mining from user reviews. In theoretical part were described methods of opinion mining and natural language processing. Main parts of this thesis were design and implementation of library for opinion mining based on Stanford Parser and lexicon WordNet. For feature identi cation was used dependency grammar, implicit features were mined with method CoAR and opinions were classi ed with supervised algorithm. Finally were given experiments with implemented library and examples of usage.

Creation of the finance sources for the production sector at the Czech capital market

Corporate finance in Czech Republic is linked with a lot of defects, problems, anomalies and abnormalities. Present situation of the capital market is unbearable, an environment where companies found themselves from the standpoint of the sources to the finance demand is not the market environment. And at the same time the capital markets offer wide range of special debt or equity commercial papers, so that companies´ possibilities of finance obtaining considerably extend also by other ways than only by most often used bank credit

Electrochemical characterization of leached steel-making sludge

    Get PDF
In this work, the electrochemical properties of the leached sludge, magnetite and zinc ferrite were studied. Acetic acid was used as a leaching reagent because, in recent years, there has been a surge of interest in using zinc-containing materials as photocatalysts, with acetic acid finding application in their preparation. Various methodological approaches were used, but the best results were achieved with a combination of 1-3 h leaching in 0.01 M acetic acid with a solid/liquid ratio of 500. In this arrangement, zincite was almost completely removed from the sludge, while zinc ferrite and magnetite remained in the solid residue. Ex situ analyses of the main leaching products were performed by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, and thermogravimetry. The electrochemical behaviour of solid residue and model systems, that are micromagnetite and zinc ferrite, was studied in alkaline media by means of modified carbon paste electrodes, cyclic voltammetry, and chronocoulometry, with a suitable potential window ranging from 0 to 1.5 V. In summary, a linear dependence of the anodic and cathodic peak height on the square root of the scan rate was found. The position of the anodic and cathodic peaks shifted slightly with scan rate, only at low rates, up to 25 mV/s, the individual peaks coincided. The electrochemical response suggested a quasireversible process.Web of Science121art. no. 1669

Managing floodplains using nature‐based solutions to support multiple ecosystem functions and services

    Get PDF
Floodplains include unique environments shaped over a long time horizon along rivers and smaller streams and formed by alluvial sediments. As floodplains are flat, often with highly fertile and well-accessible land, they have become the intrinsic focus of human society—while providing a variety of goods and ecosystem services. Intensive land use of floodplains is degrading their natural values and significantly reducing their ecosystem functions and services. A significant part of these key services is related with the ability of floodplains to retain water and nutrients, which can be understood as a flood control and a water-retention function. Although these ecosystems serve a number of other basic functions, the importance of floodplains as a place for water retention during extreme discharges caused by intense rainfall or snowmelt and the supply of water in times of drought are essential under conditions of global change. In order to increase the ability of floodplains to perform these functions, it is increasingly required to preserve the connectivity of rivers with surrounding floodplains and adapt human activities to maintain and restore river ecosystems. This article reviews the recent understanding of floodplain delineation, the most common causes of disturbance, the ecosystem functions being performed, discussing in turn the measures being considered to mitigate the frequency and magnitude of hydrologic extremes resulting from ongoing environmental changes

Myomedin replicas of gp120 V3 loop glycan epitopes recognized by PGT121 and PGT126 antibodies as non-cognate antigens for stimulation of HIV-1 broadly neutralizing antibodies

    Get PDF
IntroductionImprinting broadly neutralizing antibody (bNAb) paratopes by shape complementary protein mimotopes represents a potential alternative for developing vaccine immunogens. This approach, designated as a Non-Cognate Ligand Strategy (NCLS), has recently been used for the identification of protein variants mimicking CD4 binding region epitope or membrane proximal external region (MPER) epitope of HIV-1 envelope (Env) glycoprotein. However, the potential of small binding proteins to mimic viral glycan-containing epitopes has not yet been verified.MethodsIn this work, we employed a highly complex combinatorial Myomedin scaffold library to identify variants recognizing paratopes of super candidate bNAbs, PGT121 and PGT126, specific for HIV-1 V3 loop epitopes.ResultsIn the collection of Myomedins called MLD variants targeted to PGT121, three candidates competed with gp120 for binding to this bNAb in ELISA, thus suggesting an overlapping binding site and epitope-mimicking potential. Myomedins targeted to PGT126 designated MLB also provided variants that competed with gp120. Immunization of mice with MLB or MLD binders resulted in the production of anti-gp120 and -Env serum antibodies. Mouse hyper-immune sera elicited with MLB036, MLB041, MLB049, and MLD108 moderately neutralized 8-to-10 of 22 tested HIV-1-pseudotyped viruses of A, B, and C clades in vitro.DiscussionOur data demonstrate that Myomedin-derived variants can mimic particular V3 glycan epitopes of prominent anti-HIV-1 bNAbs, ascertain the potential of particular glycans controlling neutralizing sensitivity of individual HIV-1 pseudoviruses, and represent promising prophylactic candidates for HIV-1 vaccine development
